7 Remote the finial from the bottom of the king post; lag-screw the first roof panel to the king post. Don't tighten the last '/> inch. With oar kit, predrilled boles in the king post slant up toward the center when the king post is in the right position.
- 11 After all panels are in place, align corners I I where fascia boards meet and tighten rafter end bolts. Insert carriage bolts through hides at tops of posts and tighten securely.
SNou . with one person inside the gazebo and another outside the gazebo, lift the first roof panel into place from the outside in. Support the king post with a pole supplied by the manufacturer. The pole has a pin that fits into the hole for the bottom finial. Slip rafters into slots at tops of posts, but don't bolt here yet.

1 J rafters; snug them up, Then tighten all side-panel bolts, The weight of the roof panels should have moved side panels into place; if not, make minor adjustments.
9 Next, lift the opposite roof panel into place and lag-screw it to the king post. Again, don't tighten all the way. As before, slip the rafters into the slots at the tops of posts.
1A Raise the third panel in place beside I V / the second one. C-clamp rafters together, lag-screw the third panel to the king post t within V2 inch), and bolt rafter ends. Finger-tighten these bolts, Raise and attach remaining roof panels to the king post, working alternately side to side.
