Established in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa in 1980, by Mr. Vincent Lourenco (Snr), Grovida has been distributing top quality
products to both the Horticultural and Agricultural industry for over 23 years. From humble beginnings, Grovida Kwa-Zulu Natal now
occupies a 4000 square meter warehouse located at 400 Sydney Road, Durban, with the entire Lourenco Family being involved in the
day-to-day operations of the company.
On launching their very own Grovida branded range of garden care product a few years ago; it soon became apparent that Grovida had to
extend its distribution network to other regions of the country to better service the brand. The result, strategic distribution networks
were setup in the Eastern Cape and Western Cape with the latest edition being Gauteng.
As a depot of Grovida Kwa-Zulu Natal, Grovida TJ Horticultural (Grovida Gauteng) was established in February 2002 by husband
and wife team, Johann and Tanya du Plooy. Originally operating from Voorspoed Seed Merchants warehouse on the Johannesburg Fresh
Produce Market in City Deep, Gauteng, they soon had too relocate their operations to what is now their new 2500 square meter
warehouse at 54 Bonsmara Road, City Deep Ext 1.
At present, their branded range comprises of garden insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, rodenticides, fertilizers, organics,
lawn seed, bird seed, vegetable seed and garden gloves as well as a number of imported products which include sprayers, coir and
peat products, sprinklers and garden tools.
Grovida is also the exclusive distributor of Kwikstix Garden Products, Pot Story Pots and Hydroton for Gauteng,
as well as Talborn Product, Hydroton and Bio Grow in Kwa-Zulu Natal.
Additional brands availably thought Grovida include the Voorspoed Seed range, Multifeed range, Nitrosol, Omnia Specialties range,
Ocean Agriculture range, PC Plastics pot range, Cotton Pickers planting bag range and Coopers range to name a few.
Grovida is both a member of the South African Nurseryman's Association and the Garden Centre Association of South Africa and is
